Heirloom beets : mixed red, gold or chiogga beets according to availability in bunch with leaves. Beets organically grown in the Bay area, California  

Beets are pretty awesome raw when thinly sliced or simply juiced! Earthy yet have sweetness. Sautée the leaves and stems in olive oil with sliced garlic for a tasty side dish or to chop and mix with rice.
